The new tax credits, valid through 2011, are as follows:
- Air source heat pump – 10% credit up to a maximum of $300.
- Central air conditioning – 10% credit up to a maximum credit of $300.
- Home heating system (boilers plus gas and oil furnaces) – 10% credit up to a maximum of $150.
The total combined credit you can earn is $500 on two or more systems. Other qualifications apply.
